BROWNWOOD, Texas- Despite dominating in total shots, the Howard Payne University women's soccer team ended the match against Schreiner University in a 0-0 tie after double overtime earlier this afternoon.

The Lady Jackets dominated the game in total shots 37-12, and 32-6 in shots on goals but could not find the back of the net.

Both teams teams remained scoreless throughout regulation and would head to overtime. Schreiner led in shots throughout extended time 5-2 eventually ending in the scoreless tie.

Goalkeeper Delaney Castor started in the goal for Howard Payne playing 45 minutes of the match. Freshman Rayden Hicks came in at keeper for Castor recording three saves and staying in the game throughout both overtimes.

Howard Payne is now 2-1-1 for the season, while Schreiner is now 1-2-0 for the year. The Lady Jackets will take on Southwestern University in a 4:00 pm match this coming Tuesday, September 10 at Citizens National Bank Field.
