BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team went 1-1 over the weekend with a 9-0 loss at East Texas Baptist University and a 9-0 win over Centenary College.

ETBU Match
The Lady Jackets started the match by dropping all three doubles matches 8-2, 8-1, 8-0 and all three singles matches in straight sets.

Brittany Sutton's number two singles match was the closest falling 6-4, 6-0.

Centenary Match
Centenary was minus some of its roster so Howard Payne started the day with a 3-0 lead claiming all three doubles points by default.

Brittany Sutton won in number one singles 7-5 and Jessenia Ureste won 10-4 in number two singles action.

Howard Payne is now 1-7 overall and will play next on March 7th at 1:00 pm in Seguin, Texas versus Texas Lutheran University.
