BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought battle to conference opponent Belhaven University Saturday night at Gordon Wood Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets were able to hold off the Blazers until the 54th minute of the match.

Mikel Santamaria led HPU with three shots, two of those being on frame.

Eduardo Flores played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU, allowed one goal, and recorded two saves.

The Yellow Jackets fall to 2-7-1 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Blazers improve to 4-3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

The Yellow Jackets will play again at home on Oct. 7th, starting at 3:30 PM.
