Box Score BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne University volleyball team dropped a home match 3-0 to conference opponent Sul Ross State University Friday evening in the Brownwood Coliseum.

The Lady Jackets lost in three straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-19.

Carsyn Bilbrey led HPU with eight kills, followed by Amaya Marshall with six. Kaitlyn Elsten had 16 assists, and Hannah Vega had 12 digs.

Annika Canaba led Sul Ross with 12 kills and 20 assists. Faith Herrera had 11 digs.

Howard Payne falls 3-14 on the season and 1-9 in conference play. Sul Ross improves to 11-6 overall and 7-4 in conference play.

The Lady Jackets will take on Hardin-Simmons on Friday, Oct. 15th, in Abilene, Texas.
