BEAUMONT, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's basketball team fell 107-37 in an exhibition at D-I Lamar University Friday evening.

Howard Payne was led by Chelsey Harris, Bria Neal, Amanda Turpin with nine points each. Turpin's points came on three 3-pointers.

Neal added a team high six rebounds to her numbers and Elaina Buchanan followed with four rebounds.

The Lady Jackets struggled from the field hitting just 18% of their shots. Despite being outrebounded 47-33 in the game, HPU did have the advantage on the offensive glass 14-13.

Lamar was led by Sabria Dean with 31 points and Akasha Davis with 13 rebounds.

The Lady Jackets will play next on Thur., November 18th at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. It will be a 5:30 pm tipoff.
