STEPHENVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's basketball team fell 87-44 to D-I Tarleton State University in an exhibition game Saturday afternoon.
HPU's
Amanda Turpin and
Chelsey Harris led the Lady Jackets with 11 and 10 points respectively. Turpin was 3 for 9 from behind the arc and Harris was 4 for 8 from the field.
Bria Neal led the Lady Jackets on the boards with five while scoring eight points.
With the Lady Jackets shooting 28.6% from the field, Tarleton would force 23 HPU turnovers and outrebound the Lady Jackets 49-32.
Howard Payne will be back in action on November 27-28 in Kerrville, Texas for the ASC SCAC Challenge. The Lady Jackets will play Schreiner University on the 27th and the University of St. Thomas on the 28th.
