Jackets Take Down War Hawks 1-0

ABILENE, TX- The Howard Payne University Men's soccer team got their first win of the season after defeating McMurry University 1-0 Friday afternoon.

Noah Platzer got The Yellow Jackets on the board early, scoring in the in 12th minute of the match. 

Noah Platzer record four shots for Howard Payne followed by Brandon Osbourne with one. The War Hawks out shot the Yellow Jackets 15-5.
 
HPU goalkeeper Eduardo Flores played all 90 minutes, recording five saves and allowing zero goals.
 
Howard Payne improves to 1-5 on the season and 1-4 in conference play. McMurry is now 0-7 in the season and 0-5 in the conference.
 
The Yellow Jackets will play their next match on March 25th against Concordia University in Austin, Texas at 2:30 pm.
