LONGVIEW, TEXAS – The Howard Payne University's women's tennis team fell to LeTourneau University 0-9 on Friday and then 9-0 to East Texas Baptist University on Saturday in an East Texas road trip this weekend.
 
LeTourneau Match

Lexie Nave and Zoe Sprayberry lost 7-8(4-7) in a close number one doubles match against Bailey Deatherage and Summer Apostalo. Trinity Johnson and Danielle Sanchez lost 7-8(5-7) in a close number three doubles match against Brandy Weems and Amber Van Duyn.
 
Blair Ballard fell 5-7, 1-6 against Brandy Weems in number four singles. Lexie Nave fell in number one singles 2-6, 1-6 against Bailey Deatherage.
 
ETBU Match
 
Lexie Nave and Zoe Sprayberry fell 2-8 in number one doubles to Elisa Kendall and Maddi Davis. Katelynn Lovel and Blair Ballard fell 2-8 in number two doubles to Ashley Schenck and Cassidy Wilcoxon.
 
Lexie Nave battled in number one singles, falling 6-1, 0-6(6-10) against Ashley Schenck. Blair Ballard fell 3-6, 1-6 in number four singles against Syvoney Ybarra.
 
The Lady Jackets are now 0-9 on the season. The Lady Jackets will play next on March 27th at 11:00 a.m. versus Hardin-Simmons University in Brownwood, Texas.
