BROWNWOOD, Texas- In today's double header, the Howard Payne University volleyball team dropped both matches 3-0 to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders.

Game One
The Lady Jackets fell short to the UMHB Crusaders by the scores of 25-19, 25-20, and 25-15.

Rylee Spencer led HPU with eight kills, followed by
Mitsue Rodriguez with seven kills. Rodriguez also had 11 digs to lead the team, followed by
Kaitlyn Elsten with eight. Elsten had a total of 22 assists for the game.
Riley Brittain and
Rylee Spencer both had two blocks each.

Game Two
In the second game against UMHB, the sets ended by the scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-15.

Leading the Lady Jackets,
Carsyn Bilbrey had 12 kills, followed by
Mitsue Rodriguez with ten kills.
Hannah Vega ended with 18 digs, followed by
Mitsue Rodriguez with 17 digs.
Riley Brittain led HPU in assists with 21.

Lady Jackets are now 2-13 on the season, and 1-8 in conference. Their next game is on Tuesday, Oct. 4
th, at 4:00 pm. They will compete against Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas!
