Box Score KERRVILLE, Texas- The Howard Payne University Lady Jackets fell short in close sets to the Schreiner University Mountaineers 3-1 this evening.

The Lady Jackets dropped the first two sets by the close scores of 25-21, and 25-23. The Lady Jackets fought back to win the third set 25-17. The final set was won by the Mountaineers 25-22.
 
HPU's Rylee Spencer recorded a season high of 18 kills. Hannah Vega led the team in digs with 27, followed by Mitsue Rodriguez with 24 digs. Riley Brittain had a total of 31 assists on the game, and Carsyn Bilbrey had a season high of two blocks.

The Lady Jackets are now 2-17 on the season, and 1-10 in conference. The Lady Jackets will play Hardin-Simmons University on Oct. 18^th. They will compete at home in the Coliseum at 6:00 pm!
