SEGUIN, Texas – The Howard Payne University Lady Jackets dropped their non-conference road game at Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs 60-50 Friday evening.
 
With close stats between the two teams, Howard Payne was not able to recover from the 17-point deficit in the second-quarter. 

HPU outscored TLU 16-9 in the first quarter, but would trail 33-22 at halftime. The Bulldogs were able to force 26 Lady Jacket turnovers, but Howard Payne outrebounded Texas Lutheran 53-39 in the game.

Howard Payne's Bria Neal, had her 3^rd double-double of the season with 12 points and a season high of 15 rebounds. Neal was 4 for 6 from the free-throw line. Trynadee Greenwell also had 12 points, along with four rebounds, and led with three assists. 
 
Texas Lutheran was led by Lauren Sansano with 16 points and Kailee Mulkey with 13 points.

Howard Payne is now currently 1-3 on the season, and Texas Lutheran improved to 2-3 overall. The Lady Jackets will compete next on Saturday, Nov. 26^th, at home in the Thanksgiving ASC-SCAC Crossover tournament. They will play University of St. Thomas at 3:00 pm.
