CLARKSVILLE, AR - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team drop two road matches to Hendrix College and the University of the Ozarks this week in non-conference action.

Hendrix Match
The only two team points for the Jackets came in double play in the 7-2 Hendrix final.

HPU's number tow doubles team of  Logan Knight and Nicolas Gates won 8-7 (7-4) and the number three doubles team of  Landon Ferree and Christian Fernandez won 8-6.

Gates in number five singles for HPU narrowly lost falling 4-6, 7-5, 0-1(13-15).

Ozarks Match
The Yellow Jackets dropped the match 7-0 with a competitive match for HPU in number two doubles

HPU's Nicolas Gates /and Logan Knight fell 8-7 in number two doubles action.

Due to time constraints, not all singles matches were play to completion.

The Yellow Jackets will play next on Sat., March 26th in Abilene, Texas versus conference opponent Hardin-Simmons University at 10:00 am.
