BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University softball team fell 4-2 in its conference series finale with LeTourneau University Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Jackets were just outhit by one, 7-6 but three Howard Payne fielding errors led to the 4-2 LeTourneau final.

Person finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate for HPU.
Heather Wineman recorded the loss in the start for HPU allowing four runs on six hits in 4.0 innings.Â
Isabella Buckley threw the final 3.0 innings allowing just one hit.
Howard Payne is now 4-19 overall and 1-14 American Southwest Conference action. LeTourneau stands at 8-15 overall and 5-10 in league play. The Lady Jackets will play next on April 1-2 at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR.
