SHREVEPORT, Louisiana- Howard Payne University traveled to Centenary College this Sunday and came home with the win 4-1!
 
HPU started off the game quick, with a goal in the sixth minute by freshman Hannah Noel. This was the only goal for the first half, making the score 1-0 at half time.
 
During the second half, the Lady Jackets' Brenna Douthit scored the second goal of the game in the 51^st minute. Centenary responded with a goal in the 71^st minute, making the score 2-1. Shortly after, HPU's Meagan Miller had a goal during the 75^th minute. To finish off the game, Hannah Noel made her second goal to end the game in the 86^th minute.
 
Howard Payne took a total of 14 shots in comparison to Centenary's six shots. Of those shots, Hannah Noel and Brenna Douthit each took five shots. Addie Carroll, Ella Alvarado, Veaney Cazares, and Meagan Miller took the remaining shots with one shot each.
 
In goal for all 90 minutes, Emily Williamson allowed one goal and had one save.
 
The Lady Jackets are currently 2-1-1 on the season. They will be back in Brownwood at 2:00 pm versus Texas College on Tuesday, Sept. 13^th!
