BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University volleyball team was led by Mitsue Rodriguez' eight kills in a 3-0 non-conference loss to Austin College Tuesday evening in the Brownwood Coliseum.

HPU's Mitsue Rodriguez recorded a game high eight kills (.183 attack pct) but it was the Lady Jackets .095 attack pct. as a team that was a major factor in the 3-0 loss.

The Lady Jackets dropped sets 25-14, 25-20, and 25-19. HPU posted its best attack pct. in the match in the third with a .263 kill pct.

Following Mitsue Rodriguez was Rylee Spencer with six kills and Abbie Knepper with five. Carsyn Bilbrey had three service aces, Riley Brittain recorded 13 assists, and Madison Spencer finished with 24 digs.

The Lady Jackets will play next on Saturday at home versus conference opponent East Texas Baptist. It will be a 1:00 pm start time in the Brownwood Coliseum.
