BROWNWOOD, Texas- In today's match, the Howard Payne Lady Jackets lost a hard-fought battle to the East Texas Baptist University Tigers 3-0.
 
The Lady Jackets held their own against, now 11-1 team, ETBU by the scores of 25-21, 25-18, and 25-21.
 
For today's HPU leaders, Mitsue Rodriguez had 16 kills against the Tigers. Kaitlyn Elsten led in assists with 16, followed by Riley Brittain with 11. For digs, Hannah Vega led the team with ten digs, followed by Mitsue Rodriguez with eight.
 
The Lady Jackets are now 1-8 on the season. For another home game in the Coliseum, HPU will play Sul Ross State University at 6:00 pm this Tuesday, Sept. 20^th!
