BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets came out with a 3-0 victory over the Dallas Christian College Crusaders, this Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets struggled to score in the first half but kept the Crusaders at zero as well, making the score 0-0 at halftime. The Jackets picked up the pace in the second half, scoring all three goals in just 15 minutes. HPU's first goal was shot by
Julio Colmenares in the 69
th minute on a pass from
Seth Warren. Just a few minutes later, another goal was scored by
Taylor Hefner with an assist by
Gael Cancino. In the 85
th minute of the game,
Dylan Massingill scored the last goal on an assist from
Taylor Hefner.

Howard Payne took a total of 18 shots with nine on goal, in comparison to the Crusaders' five total shots with two on goal.
Eduardo Flores, HPU's goalie, played for all 90 minutes saving all two shots that were on goal.
The Yellow Jackets are now 3-3-2 on the season. Another home game for the Yellow Jackets this Thursday, Sept. 29
th at 4:30 pm. They will be competing against University of the Ozarks!
