BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets fell to the University of the Ozarks this afternoon 2-1.
 
The game started off with a goal from the Eagles in the 17
th minute of the game, being the only goal of the half. This left the score 1-0 at halftime. Early in the second half, HPU's 
Alexander Paz scored a goal to tie the game, on an assist by 
Taylor Hefner. The Eagles' responded with another goal in the 61
st minute, making the final score 2-1.
 
Howard Payne took nine shots total and the Eagles took ten shots total. 
Gael Cancino had the most shot attempts with three. In goal all 90 minutes for the Yellow Jackets, 
Eduardo Flores had a total of four saves.
The Yellow Jackets are now 3-4-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference play. They will be back on Citizens National Bank Field in Brownwood, Texas, this Saturday, Oct. 1
st. The Yellow Jackets will compete against UT Dallas at 4:30 pm!
