Box Score SEGUIN, Texas- Saturday afternoon, the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets fell short to the Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs 3-2.
 
In just the fourth minute of the game, freshman Julio Colmenares makes the first goal for HPU. The Bulldogs come back and score in the 23^rd minute of the game, followed by another HPU goal by Julio Colmenares in the 35^th minute. Shortly after in the 39^th minute, the Bulldogs score another goal to tie the game. This left the score 2-2 at half time.
 
Keeping the score the same for most of the second half, the Bulldogs eventually scored again in the 83^rd minute. With one last chance to come back, the Yellow Jackets took a penalty shot in the 87^th minute, but ultimately fell short in a hard-fought battle against Jarvis Christian College.
 
Howard Payne's goalie, Eduardo Flores, had a total of eight saves against the Bulldogs while in goal for 90 minutes.
 
The Yellow Jackets are now 0-2 on the season and will take on Austin College in Sherman, Texas on Tuesday, Sept. 6^th, at 7:30 p.m.
