Brownwood, Texas- The Howard Payne University Lady Jackets played their first home game at the Coliseum Tuesday evening. The Lady Jackets fell to Schreiner University 3-0.
 
The score of the first set was 25-14. The Lady Jackets fought hard and found their footing in the second and third sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-23, but were unfortunately not able to pull out the win.
 
HPU's Rylee Spencer had seven kills, followed by Riley Brittain with six. Leading the Lady Jackets in assists, Kaitlyn Elsten had 14, followed by Riley Brittain with 12. Hannah Vega had 14 digs for HPU, and Abbie Knepper had three blocks.
 
The Lady Jackets are now 1-4 on the season and will take on Hardin-Simmons University at 6:00 p.m. in Abilene, Texas, this Friday- Sept. 9^th!
