BROWNWOOD, Texas -- The Howard Payne University women's soccer team and Concordia (TX) played to a 0-0 draw Saturday (Oct. 7) at home at Citizens National Bank Field.

Howard Payne moved to 5-5-2 overall and 1-1-2 in ASC play following the draw.

Lady Jackets Graduate Defender Kendra Cecil broke the HPU all-time minutes played record for the women's soccer program, totaling 5711 minutes of action so far in her career. Cecil surpassed Kasse Nix (2010-2013) who had 5705 minutes of action and Susana Chavarria (2006-2009) who totaled 5066 minutes of action.

Howard Payne registered 12 shots in the scoreless tie, five of them on goal. The Lady Jackets faced nine Concordia (TX) shots, seven of them on goal. Emily Williamson led Howard Payne with seven saves.
