HOWARD PAYNE
The Yellow Jackets come off a 47-42 loss at Sul Ross State last week. HPU was led by Landon McKinney going 34 of 56 for 471 yards and four TDs with no interceptions. McKinney now holds the school record for career passing completions with 659, the previous record of 653 was held by Scott Lincher (1991-1994).

McKinney is just 322 yards (9,925) shy of breaking the HPU career passing yards record currently held by Adam King with 10,246 yards (2001- 2004).

Against Sul Ross, Jessie Paris and KJ Kelley led the Yellow Jacket defense. Paris finished with 12 tackles and Kelley had 11 tackles, a forced fumble, and two pass breakups.

Last season, the Yellow Jackets tied the game at 24-24 with 31 seconds left but UMHB was able to connect on a 44-yard field goal as time expired to win 27-24.

This is the 25th meeting between the two schools.

MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR
After dropping its first three games of the season, UMHB has gone 5-1 to stand at 5-4 going into the final game of the year.

UMHB outlasted East Texas Baptist last week 21-12 in Belton.

The Cru will use a pair of runners in Kenneth Cormier and Ozias Wright, Cormier with 595 yards and five TDs, and Wright with 455 yards and four TDs on the year.
Isaac Phe has played in nine games as QB for the Cru. He has 1,544 yards passing and 16 touchdowns.

Durand Hill is their top tackler with 76, third in the ASC.
