BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's basketball team fell 95-47 on senior day in the Brownwood Coliseum Saturday afternoon in conference play.
Howard Payne was led by
Ashton McKenzie nine points followed by
Armonie Ramey with seven points. Ramey and
Steven Buhl would each pull down five rebounds.
The Yellow Jackets 26.6% shooting from the field and 53.3% from the free-throw line would play a factor in the outcome. The Jackets were also out rebounded 59-26 in the game.
The Yellow Jackets did force 22 Mary Hardin-Baylor turnovers.
UMHB was led by Josiah Johnson with 14 points and seven rebounds. Ty Prince finished with 11 points.
Howard Payne is now 3-19 overall and 1-13Â in American Southwest Conference play. UMHB stands at 17-4 overall and 12-2 in league play. The Jackets will play next on Monday at home versus Concordia University at 7:30 pm.
