BROWNWOOD, Texas -- The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell 2-1 at home to Dallas Christian Friday (Sept. 1) at Citizens National Bank Field.
Howard Payne fell to 0-1-0 overall after the defeat. Dallas Christian stands at 2-1-0 on the year.
How it Happened
Dallas Christian grabbed a 1-0 lead when Angel Medel scored in the 31st minute, assisted by Francisco Govea.
The Yellow Jackets evened the match on a goal from Emmanuel Nshimiyimana -- his first goal of the season -- in the 53rd minute, assisted by Oscar De Santiago.
Dallas Christian then went on top 2-1 on Govea's 84th-minute goal. The 2-1 score held to the finish.
