WAXAHACHIE, Texas – The Howard Payne University men's soccer team lost to Southwestern Assemblies of God University, 4-0.
After a scoreless first half from both teams, SAGU was able to get on the board early in the second half, scoring a goal in the 47
th minute. They were able to tack on three more goals later in the game to defeat the Yellow Jackets 4-0.
HPU took three total shots coming from a trio of Yellow Jackets. For all 90 minutes of the game,
Brandon Padilla was in goal and recorded three saves.
The Yellow Jackets are now 0-2-0 to start the 2023 season. HPU will travel to Kerrville, Texas to take on Schreiner University on Friday, September 8
th at 3:00 PM.
