Lady Jackets Lose Close One In Season Opener

WALLA WALLA, Washington – The Howard Payne University women's soccer team lost to Whitman College in game one of a two game road trip to the state of Washington, on Friday September 1st.
 
Whitman was able to score one goal in the 1st minute of action. Emily Williamson was in goal for 90 minutes for the Lady Jackets, and recorded four saves.
 
Howard Payne took a total of three shots with two being on goal. Brenna Douthit led the Lady Jackets with two shots, one being on goal, and Sydney Tate added one shot on goal.
 
The Lady Jackets start the 2023 season off 0-1-0. They will travel to Spokane, Washington on Sunday, September 3rd to take on Whitworth University at 2:00 PM (12:00 PM PST).
