GEORGETOWN, Texas -- The Howard Payne University women's soccer team fell to Southwestern (TX) 2-0 Sunday (Sept. 17) on the road at Southwestern Varsity Fields.
Howard Payne dropped to 3-3-0 on the season after the loss with Southwestern improving to 2-4-1.
How it Happened
Emily Williamson led Howard Payne with 13 saves. The Yellow Jackets recorded 18 shots in the loss, seven of them on goal. Howard Payne faced 22 Southwestern (TX) shots, 15 of them on goal.
Hannah Noel led HPU with three shots, one being on goal. There were four Lady Jackets following behind Noel with two shots a piece.
Southwestern scored their first goal in the 8th minute and their second in the 45th minute.

The Lady Jackets will be back at home taking on Austin College Thursday, September 21st with a kickoff of 7:00 PM at Citizens National Bank Field. HPU will look to bounce back in what will be their fourth matchup with Austin College since 2014.
