Howard Payne Falls To Schreiner 2-1

KERRVILLE, Texas -- Howard Payne lost to Schreiner 2-1 Friday (Sept. 8) on the road at Mountaineer Soccer Field.


The loss dropped Howard Payne's record to 0-3-0 overall, with Schreiner now 1-1-1.

How it Happened

Howard Payne started the scoring when Emmanuel Nshimiyimana scored his second goal of the season in the 15th minute, assisted by Anthony Herrera.

The Mountaineers leveled the match on a goal from Travis Matthews in the 31st minute, assisted by Manuel Coya.

Schreiner then grabbed a 2-1 lead on Cameron Armer's 32nd-minute goal. Neither team scored again in the match.
