BROWNWOOD, Texas -- Howard Payne football team fell 41-0 to Mary Hardin-Baylor at home Saturday afternoon.
The Crusaders improved to 3-2 on the year and 2-1 in American Southwest Conference play, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in conference matchups.
Blessing Ngene totaled 20 yards to lead the Yellow Jackets' ground attack in the game. Gage Powell also tacked on 13 yards on the ground, picking up 13 yards per carry.
Gus Charles reeled in three catches for 63 yards.
Jacob Urbina showed out for the Howard Payne defense, recording eight tackles, 1.0 TFL, and one recovered fumble.
