BROWNWOOD, Texas-- Howard Payne lost to Texas-Dallas 3-1 Thursday (Oct. 3) at home at Citizens National Bank Field.
Howard Payne fell to 0-7-3 overall with the defeat.
How it Happened
Texas-Dallas grabbed a 1-0 lead when Riley O'donnell scored in the 45th minute.
The Comets added another score on a goal from Cole Morgan in the 54th minute.
Howard Payne narrowed the gap to 2-1 on Ethan Mauldin's 73rd-minute goal, his second of the season. The assist was from David Wright.Â
The Comets made it a 3-1 lead with an 88th-minute goal from Carson Burden. The 3-1 score held to the finish.
