Box Score SEGUIN, Texas – The Howard Payne University women's tennis team defeated Texas Lutheran 7-2 on the road in Seguin, Texas on Friday.
The Lady Jackets kicked off the action in doubles, earning wins in two out of three sets. In number one doubles,
Victoria Ramos and
Lexie Nave took down TLU 8-3.
Zoe Sprayberry and
Nina Delafuente won the number two slot 8-7. HPU lost number three doubles by default.
In singles action,
Victoria Ramos claimed the win number one spot victory (6-3, 6-1) with
Lexie Nave winning the number two doubles (6-4, 6-1).
Nina Delafuente won the third slot (6-0, 6-1) along with
Zoe Sprayberry earning the four-spot win (6-0, 6-1).
Kaylee Mcleod defeated TLU in number five singles (6-2, 6-4) with HPU losing number six by default.
The Lady Jackets will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Kerrville, Texas to take on Schreiner University at 10:00 AM.
