BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne University women's tennis team fell 4-3 to Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Friday at the Nabers Tennis Center in Brownwood, Texas.
In doubles,
Zoe Sprayberry and
Nina Delafuente were able to defeat Oklahoma Wesleyan 8-7 in the number two slot.
Victoria Ramos and
Lexie Nave fell in number one doubles 8-2.
Zoe Sprayberry continued her great day in singles as she claimed the number four singles. Sprayberry lost set one 6-4, but bounced back winning the final two sets 6-0 and 10-5 to earn the win.
Kaylee Mcleod won in the six-slot defeating OWU 6-1 and 6-3.
The Lady Jackets will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Waco, Texas to take on McMurry University at 9:00 AM and University of St. Thomas (TX) at 3:00 PM.
