LONGVIEW, Texas -- The Howard Payne Lady Jackets had a tough showing on Friday, falling to LeTourneau 11-3 despite the efforts of junior Kamryn Gomez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Senior Bree Cason (6-7) started and took the loss in the circle for Howard Payne (8-11, 1-6).

Offensively, the Lady Jackets were led by Gomez, who went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI. Sophomore Ashley Blaylock put together a standout performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Trailing 1-0, the Lady Jackets first put runs on the board in the third inning. Gomez drove in two runs for Howard Payne with a single, that scored sophomore McKeanne Saenz and junior Maddison Cason.
