BROWNWOOD, TX - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team fell 8-1 to East Texas Baptist University at the Nabers Tennis Center in Brownwood, Texas on Saturday. 

In doubles, the Lady Jackets dropped the number one and two slots while losing number three doubles by default. Victoria Ramos and Zoe Sprayberry hosted the number one doubles losing 8-4 in a close set. 

Zoe Sprayberry was able to pick up in number three singles defeating Isabelle Duarte 6-3, 6-3 for the Lady Jackets lone point. HPU would lose four straight sets before dropping number six singles by default. 

The Lady Jackets will be on the road March 27th as they travel to Longview, Texas to take on LeTourneau University with match time set for 2:00 PM.
