BROWNWOOD, Texas -- Howard Payne University's Jacob Korrodi collected 15 tackles in Yellow Jackets' 38-6 loss to Hardin-Simmons at home Saturday night.
Zy Gravitt led Howard Payne's passing attack with 206 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception.
Blessing Ngene paced the Yellow Jackets rushing attack by accumulating 32 yards over the course of the game. Kiante Stoker also added 12 yards on the ground.
Jackson Meller reeled in three catches for 102 yards and one score.
Korrodi led the Yellow Jackets defensively with his 15 tackles, nine of them solo, and 1.0 TFL. Jatden Blevins added 1.0 TFL and one sack.
How It Happened
Howard Payne responded to an early 7-0 Hardin-Simmons advantage with a first quarter touchdown to narrow the deficit to 7-6.
HPU's Gravitt connected on a 74-yard TD pass to Jacob Meller with :41 se remaining in the first quarter.
