HPU’s Bill Ngene Named to D3football All-Region Team

All-Region Recognition Caps Strong Season for Ngene

Blessing (Bill) Ngene's season for the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets unfolded with the steady power of someone who understood exactly what his team needed and delivered it week after week. His performance earned him a spot on the D3football.com All-Region 3- Second Team Offense, a recognition that reflected the impact he made across the conference and beyond.

Ngene's work in the backfield was the backbone of the Yellow Jackets' offense. Across ten games, he logged 172 carries for 946 yards, finding the end zone 12 times while averaging more than five yards per touch. His ability to turn routine plays into productive gains kept drives alive and gave Howard Payne a reliable spark whenever the ball was in his hands.

He added another layer to his game as a receiving option, catching 15 passes for 179 yards, averaging nearly 12 yards per reception. That versatility forced defenses to account for him in open space, and he consistently provided timely plays in the passing game. The combination of power, patience, and adaptability made him one of the most dependable players on the roster.

For a Yellow Jackets team looking to build momentum and identity, Ngene's season became one of its clearest bright spots. The All-Region nod didn't just mark his personal success; it acknowledged the steady presence he brought to Howard Payne's offense throughout the year.

Ngene was also named to the American Southwest Conference First Team Offense.
