Howard Payne women's basketball continued its strong recent play despite a 62–53 setback at Hendrix, staying competitive throughout and showing resilience on the road. The Yellow Jackets battled on the glass and generated opportunities offensively while facing a tough defensive effort.

Caitlyn Panuco led all scorers with 19 points, shooting 4-for-10 from the field and knocking down two three-pointers while also getting to the free throw line 14 times and adding 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Caitlyn Parsons recorded a strong double-double performance with 11 points, a team-high 12 rebounds, and four steals, anchoring Howard Payne's effort on both ends of the floor. Kinsey Glasgow added six points off the bench, hitting two shots from beyond the arc, while BrookLynn Peterson chipped in four points in limited minutes.

Despite the loss, the Yellow Jackets remain in a solid stretch of play, having won four of their last five games overall. Howard Payne will look to regroup quickly and carry that momentum into its next road contest on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 3:00 pm against the University of the Ozarks.
