Biography

2012-2013: LaKortney competed in 8 games for the Lady Jackets seen limited action off the bench but is a great contributor to the team scored 4 points against Sul Ross State for a season high.

HS: LaKortney is a 2012 graduate of Mumford High School near Hearne, Texas where she lettered in basketball, volleyball, tennis and cheerleading.  As a member of the Lady Mustangs, she earned the honors of Offensive MVP, Newcomer of the Year, 3rd Team All Brazos Valley and All-Region on the basketball court. 

Personal: LaKortney is from Hearne, Texas. She is the daughter of LaTosha and Kenneth Hyson.  She has two brothers.  Currently, she is a general studies major who has the dream of becoming a registered nurse.
