2008- Kate led the team in hitting with a .389 batting average. She also led the team in doubles with 12 and knocked in 24 runs. Along with her doubles she cranked two home runs, while also drawing 20 walks. As a pitcher and outfielder she had 42 putouts and only had two errors. She started 16 games on the mound with a win/loss record of 10-5. Kate was named to the All-West Division First Team, Third Team All-Region and was Academic All-Conference. 

2007- Starting in 39 of her 40 games played, Kate had a fielding percentage of .929 with only four errors on the season. At the plate she had 110 appearances with a batting average of .245 and an on base percentage of .349. Kate was named All-West Division Honorable Mention outfielder and was Academic All-Conference. 

2006- With a .308 batting average she had 20 hits and three runs batted in. On defense she only had one error giving her a high fielding percentage of .970. On the mound Kate had a 7.71 era with 4 game appearances. She was named Academic All-American along with six of her teammates and was also named Honorable Mention West Division as an outfielder. 

HS- She is a 2005 graduate of Brock High School where she lettered all four years in softball and volleyball. Her softball team was District Champs all four years. She received All-District honors in both softball and volleyball. 

Personal- Kate is an Exercise and Sports Science major and plans on pursuing a career as a college softball coach. She is the Vice President of Howard Payne’s ESS club. Kate is the daughter of Paul and Shelia McLaughlin and has two older siblings.
