Biography

2022: Appearing in eight games for the Yellow Jackets, Acker totaled 19 tackles (7 solo, 12 assisted) with 3.5 being tackles for loss. He also recorded 1.5 sacks. Acker would be selected for Academic All-Conference as well.

2021: Appearing in nine games, Acker recorded eight solo tackles and nine assists for a total of 17 tackles. He also received ASC Academic All-Conference.

2020-21: Appearing in two games for the Yellow Jackets, Nicholas registered two tackles, 0.5 for loss. 

2019: Did not see action for the Yellow Jackets.

HS: Nicholas was a three-year letter in football at Rusk High School in Rusk, Texas.  While there, he was First Team All-District in 2018 and 2019 for offensive line and was Second Team All-District in 2019 for defensive line.  His team were Bi-District Champions in 2017 and 2018 and District Champions in 2018.  He was a multi-sport athlete, participating in baseball, track and field, and powerlifting.

Personal: Nicholas is the son of Nathan and Niki Acker and has two siblings.  He is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and aspires to become a game warden.
