2022-23: Appearing in 22 games for the Yellow Jackets, Johnson led the team in assists (62), finished third on the team in points scored (237), and ranked second in steals (29).

HS: At Lancaster HS in Lancaster, Texas, Jarod played under HPU grad head coach Ferrin Douglas where he earned First Team All-District and District Defensive Player of the Year honors. He helped lead them to a Distract and Bi-District Championships as well as a Regional Semi-Final appearance.
