2009- Melinda started in 10 of the 18 games for the Lady Yellow Jackets. She played 649 minutes and had 3 shots on goal. She was also named to the 2009 Fall ASC Academic All-Conference list. 

2008- Melinda gathered 487 minutes on the year as a freshman, coming off the bench she was even able to assist on a goal.

HS-At Central high school in San Angelo, Texas, Melinda played in almost every position other than goal keeper. She helped lead them to a playoff appearance in 2008. She excelled in the classroom being named a Texas Scholar and graduating in the top 25% of her class. She also received the highest academic score in the UIL Art Competition and the President’s Award.

Personal-She is the daughter of Valerie and Steve Dickens and has two brothers and one sister. She is majoring in Art Education and plans to become an Art teacher and coach in high school after graduation.
