Biography

2019: Played in nine games for HPU throwing in 6.1 total innings. Was an Academic All-Conference honoree.

2018: Had three appearances on the mound for the Jackets recording three strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work. Was an Academic All-Conference honoree.

2017: Ethan saw one inning of work on the mound for the Jackets in relief over five games. 

High School: A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Cerna graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 2016. He played four years of varsity baseball and picked up academic All-State honors while helping lead his team to a regional quarterfinals appearance.

Personal: Majoring in biology with the goal of becoming an emergency room physician in the future. Ethan is the son of Sebastian and Cynthia Cerna and he has two siblings. He graduated with honors and was a distinguished scholar
