Biography

2019:  Posting a 4-1 overall record on the mound, Kory struckout 14 batters in 17.0 innings of action in 16 appearances for the Jackets. Was an Academic All-Conference selection.

2018: Had a 1-0 record in six appearance for HPU. He recorded five strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work. Was an Academic All-Conference selection

2017: Did not see action for the Yellow Jackets.

High School: Owen graduated from Brownwood High School in 2016 where he racked up several accolades for his achievements in football and baseball. He was an academic All-District selection in both sports multiple times and also won the U.S. Marine Distinguished Athlete Award in 2016. He was first team All-District and a Big Country Football Team selection while receiving his school's "Lion Heart Award."

Personal: Majoring in criminal justice with the goal of becoming a game warden in the future. Kory is the son of Scott and Kristi and he has one sibling. He is a part of the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
