Biography

2017: Sat out the season due to injury.

2016: Brody was recognized by the ASC as an All-Academic Honor Roll selection while seeing time in 12 games as a pitcher for Howard Payne. Recorded two wins and struck out 17 batters over 24.2 innings of action.

2015: Appeared in 15 games and pitched 42 innings of baseball while striking out 32 batters. Shawn matched his career-high four strikeouts on three different occasions during the season.

High School: A native of Round Rock, Texas, Brody graduated from Pflugerville High School in 2014. He played three years of varsity baseball and was a two time academic All-Conference selection. 

Personal: Shawn is an honor student, having received Dean's List and President's List recognition multiple times during his college career. He is the son of Mark and Janet Brody and he has one younger brother, who also plays on the Howard Payne baseball team. Majoring in Computer Information Systems and Business Management and wants to work in the analytics field at the Major League level.
