2022: A CSC Academic All-District selection, Cheek Appeared in all ten games for the Yellow Jackets, catching 19 passes for 468 yards and 6 touchdowns with a team-long reception of 78 yards.

2021: Playing in all ten games, Cheek recorded two touchdowns, and 251 receiving yards, with a season high of 103 yards against Austin College. Cheek also received ASC Academic All-conference.

2020-21: Playing in all five games for the Yellow Jackets, Hunter received 12 passes for a total of 196 yards and one touchdown. His longest reception was 39 yards versus McMurry. Hunter also registered one solo tackle.

Previous School: Hunter attended the University of Incarnate Word, where he was a member of the football team, before transferring to Howard Payne.  He did not see action on the field.  He was a Southland Academic All-Conference All-American.

HS: Hunter played two years of varsity football at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas, where he was an All-District Wide Receiver both seasons.  While there, his team were District Champions.  He also participated on a State Champion track team.

Personal: Hunter is the son of Zach and Heidi Cheek and has one sibling.  He is pursuing a degree in Business Management.
