2023: Named a 1st Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Korey Kelley was the American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Kelley spearheaded an HPU defense that led the ASC in interceptions with 14 and was the top individual in the league with six. He was second in the ASC for total tackles with 93, 42 solo tackles. Along with his 1st Team D3Footballcom All-Region honor, he was recognized as the ASC Player of the Week and to the D3Football.com National Team of the Week once this season. He was also honored as a 4th Team All-American by D3football.com.

Previous School: Korey played four seasons at East Texas Baptist University where he accumulated numerous awards including All-ASC First Team (Spring 2021), All-ASC Second Team (2019), D3football.com All-American (Spring 2021), All-ASC Second Team (2022), and many others.

HS: Korey played football at Abilene Cooper High School located in Abilene, Texas. He was named 3x First Team All-District for CB/WR, 2x All Big Country CB, All-State CB, and First Team All-District. Korey also competed in track.

Personal: Korey is the son of Kelvin and Kimberly Kelly and has two siblings. He is pursuing a master’s in business administration.
