2021: Appearing in 20 matches, Amaya was second on the team in points with 140, second in kills with 118, and third in blocks with 26. She also had seven service aces. In addition, she had a career-high 14 kills versus Belhaven. Amaya received ASC Academic All-Conference.

2020-2021: Appearing in 18 matches for the Lady Jackets, she was second on the team in points scored with 104 and second on the team in kills with 90. She had a season-high 10 kills versus Jarvis Christian. Amaya also excelled in the classroom, receiving academic all-conference.


2019: Appearing in 26 matches for the Lady Jackets, she notched a season high nine kills versus Sul Ross State, ten points against Schreiner, and five digs at Schreiner.  Amaya was named as an American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference honoree for the 2019 season.

2018: Played in 20 matches for the Lady Jackets recording 42 kills with nine service aces. She had a season high six kills versus Austin College. With 116 digs, she also has 26 block assists on the year.

HS: Amaya was a two time letter in Volleyball at Independence High School in Frisco, Texas. She claimed many awards such as Academic All-District, All-District Honorable Mention and Most Improved. Amaya also helped lead her team to a playoff berth. She was the co-president of the Black Student Union and also was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Amaya is the daughter of Phyllis Pope and is studying Biology in hopes of working as a DVM at her current employer’s clinic.
