BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Lady Jacket volleyball team got back to their winning ways with a 3-0 (25-7,25-9,25-10) win over visiting Paul Quinn College in non-conference action Thursday evening.

The outcome of the match for the Lady Jackets was never in doubt as the Lady Tigers of Paul Quinn only managed 11 total kills in the match, while Howard Payne threw down 47 kills. Howard Payne hit a season high .437 hitting pct. in the match.

The Lady Jackets were led by Tamika Heline with 17 kills and only 2 errors. Amanda Gutierrez added 10 kills. Patricia Brown and Amy Crouch had 17 and 15 assists respectively.

Howard Payne improves to 8-6 overall and 1-4 in ASC play, while Paul Quinn fell to 1-13 on the season.

Howard Payne will hit the road this weekend to take on Sul Ross State in Alpine.
