Biography

2008-Recorded 165 Kills playing in 85 games for HPU. She also was second on the team in blocks with 53 total. For her efforts Amanda was named Honorable Mention All-West Division at middle blocker.

HS-Amanda played high school volleyball at Ronald Reagan high school in San Antonio. In her high school soph. and junior years she helped them to district championships and a regional finals appearance.

Personal-Amanda can to Howard Payne in the fall of 2005 but has not played volleyball until this season. She is a Psychology/Family Services major and plans to become a Child Life Specialist and hopes to with at St. Jude's Hospital in the future. She is the daughter of Dan and Connie Gutierrez and has two sisters.
